Special Tips to Get The Right Size Biker Leather Clothing

Get it right the first time you will surely be disappointed if your beautiful leathers arrive and they don't fit correctly. Online is a great place to buy leathers but you want to be sure to get your size right. Making a mistake here may mean sending it back and that means extra costs.

Many biker leather sites have sizing charts and you will use these measurement procedures and the sizing chart to determine your final size.

First: how to measure for the correct size For women Measure around the fullest part of bust under arms with arms relaxed down at sides. For men Chest:Measure around chest just under arms across shoulder blades with arms relaxed down at sides.For Coat/Length: Measure from the highest point of the shoulder down.
Height: Measure from top of head down standing barefoot on a hard flat surface with normal posture.
Hips: Measure around fullest part of body at the top of legs with feet together.
Inseam: Measure from inside crotch seam to the hem of pants that fit you well.
Waist: Measure around natural waistline, which appears as crease when bending to one side.
Neck: Measure around fullest part of neck.
Sleeve: Measure from center back of neck, over point of shoulder, and down outside of arm past elbow to wrist with arm relaxed.

LEATHER JACKETS and VESTS Leather jackets have number sizes that correspond to chest inches. For example, a size 46 jackets would measure 46 inches. It is best to measure your chest while wearing a shirt and then to order the next size higher in a leather jacket or vest. For example, if your chest measures 45-46 inches, then order a Size 48.

To measure, use a standard tape measure and wrap the tape measure around your back, just under your armpits and then loosely across your chest. If your waist size exceeds your chest size, then use your waist measurement and go up one size. You can also supply us with your measurements at the time of the order.

You want to choose a jacket that is big enough for your actual chest measurement. And you want to make sure the size will be big enough for your belly (if you have one). The max belly for any size jacket is approximately 6" less than the jacket size (example: max belly for a 46 is a 40" belly).

Size charts for chaps are listed in most sizing charts. The most important measurement for chaps is the thigh. Using a standard tape measure, measure around the thickest part of your thigh while wearing jeans or pants. Do not order a pair of chaps that are less than your thigh measurement. Each pair of chaps can be adjusted down should your waist size be less than what is listed in the size chart.

If they are going to be worn for cold weather riding put on all of your under garments and then take your measurements.

Helmet size charts are listed with the description for each helmet. To measure your head, use a standard tape measure and wrap the tape measure around the back of your head, just above the ears and then across the forehead. If your head size is between two sizes, order the smaller size, as it is better if the helmet fits tighter than too loose.

Please take into account the clothing you will be wearing underneath your jacket or vest when selecting your size. Your shirt size will not necessarily be your jacket or vest size.

In order to provide maximum protection while riding, you should purchase leathers that are designed for your riding style and that fit comfortably and properly.

I'm a larger lady now and won't even go in there, even though when I was a skinny runt of a teen (unhealthily skinny) there jeans didn't fit!! I was a size 8 in every shop except topshop - there 12's were the closest I could get to fit and even then they were tight on my hips but stupidly loose everywhere else!

I guess if you have no hips they're fine though, I know a lot of girls that swear by them :]

Bangladeshi Elt Teachers’ Barriers in Making the Classroom Interactive and Integrated

The current approach of English Language Teaching (ELT) all over the world is communicative (The Communicative Language Teaching or CLT). Very recently, the academicians of Bangladeshi ELT context with the backing of the Government has founded CLT in the general education .CLT requires interactive classroom activities with the integration of the four language skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. Nevertheless, for the construction of sufficient interaction and quadruple- skilled integration in classrooms there await some barriers for the Bangladeshi teachers. My present essay is the ponder of Bangladeshi English teachers’ probable barriers in making the classrooms interactive and integrative with the tasks and activities engaging the four language skills along with their compatible pragmatic solutions.

“Interaction is the collaborative exchange of thoughts, feeling or ideas between two or more people, resulting in a reciprocal effect on each other. Theories of communicative competence emphasize the importance of interaction as human beings use language in various contexts to ‘negotiate’ meaning, or simply stated, to get an idea out of one person’s head and into the head of another person and vice versa.”
(Brown 165)

Such interaction can be actualized in a CLT classroom basically through pair-works and group-works focusing “at the suprasentential or discourse level”(Larsen-Freeman 134) with “cohesion and coherence” (Larsen-Freeman 134) of the target language (TL) integrating or merging both the receptive language skills (listening and speaking) and the productive language skills (speaking and writing) emphasizing on the semantic negotiation all the time. Hindrances of so, however, could be the followings:

A. The entrusted administrator of an educational institution might prefer “a traditional whole-class methodology”(Brown 179) of ELT in the name of maintenance of discipline in which language teaching is teacher-oriented and lecture-based and the students are the quiet receivers of the teacher’s deliverance. On such a contextual administrative ground partnership dialogue practicing, reading and listening context-based instantaneous question and answer tasks, peer checking, semantically relevant substitution drills and other activities exclusive for performing in pairs and also games, role-play, simulations, drama, projects, interview, brainstorming, information-gap, jigsaw, problem-solving and decision making, opinion exchange and so on exclusive to be conducted in groups would be impossible to be held.

B. The conventional cultural notion of ideal teaching might hamper the Bangladeshi teachers to gear an interactive and integrative class which expects students’ silent passivity during the class while receiving the teacher’s lecture-based instructions in “orderly fashion speaking only when spoken to by the teacher”(Brown 179). Intra-group unbarred interaction might be considered a violation of the cultural convention of managing an ideal class against which the teacher would have to fight prudently to settle interaction and integration of the four skills of the TL.

C. Very few ELT classes of Bangladesh are not large.The usual class-sizes exceed “seventy-five”(Brown 179) or even hundred.Therefore,when a teacher attempts to divide such a large class into groups it ultimately gives rises to managerial difficulties.Eventually,the teacher would face complications in monitoring the pair or group activities ensuring the “importance of meaningful ,purposeful language and communication ,which in turn must allow the student to give vent to creative possibilities”(Brown 181).To “circulate among the groups, listen to students ,and offer suggestions and criticisms”(Brown 181) would demand more time and effort than a teacher can usually afford.

D. Along with the monitoring problem of large classes inaccurate dealing of the student-errors should be added. In a large class “students will simply reinforce each others’ errors (Brown 181) where the teacher gets bare chances of correcting them being the victims of the other adverse administrative and managerial circumstances.

E. Mother- tongue (first language or L1) interference could be limitlessly frequent in a linguistically homogeneous ELT class unless the teacher authoritatively monitors and controls the situation. Students “in small groups will covertly use their native language”(Brown 180). Consequently, the purpose of adopting the CLT technique of learning “to interact …through interaction itself”(Brown 165) would be under the threat of failure.

F. Sometimes students’ behaviors also object the interactive and integrative management of an ELT classroom. Teenaged students could be “unruly”(Brown 179) being in the freedom of pair and group activities “where discipline is the major issue”(Brown 179).

G. Students’ idiosyncratic styles of learning would be another obstacle of making a classroom interactive and integrative. The consequences of such varied styles in group

works are as followed:

“
• A highly left-brain oriented student is put off by the otherwise more right-brain members of the group.
• Quicker(impulsive) thinkers tend to blurt out their ideas ,overwhelming the slower(reflective)thinkers, or,
• Impulsive learners get easily frustrated with the group process, which they perceive as circuitous.
• Competitive members of a group are reluctant to share information with the others.
• ‘Talkative’students dominate the process.”
(Brown 182)
Moreover, in the cases of adult learners the teacher might encounter some students’ preference of isolated involvement in the TL oriented tasks and activities rather to the collaborative involvement of so being in pairs or groups.

The following solutions can be taken against the just highlighted barriers of the Bangladeshi teachers in increasing the comprising of interaction and integration of the four skills in the ELT classrooms:

A.Convincing the administrative authority of the respective institution of the ELT teacher to make the classroom suitable for processing various group and pair activities;

B.Modification of traditional cultural concept of an ideal classroom for language learning of the bearing administration, students and also guardians through tangible demonstration and explanation;

C.Dividing a large class into considerable sections for the convenience of successful monitoring and adequate treatment of errors;

D.The teacher’s zealous, inviting and encouraging presentation of personality in facilitating pair and group activities maintaining a covert strong authority not to allow the students to trespass the threshold of language learning purpose while engaging in interactive and integrative tasks in pairs and groups;

E.In dealing with the L1 interference in the classroom the teacher should be culturally and emotionally tolerant and sensitive. Rather than strictly prohibiting the usage of L1 in the class for the clarification of the generally incomprehensible instructions of the teacher to the students and in the cases of sheer indecipherability of the students’ own peers’ spoken productions or of their helpless collapse in phrasing the intended expressions in the TL, L1 can be provisionally allowed for the students of lower proficiency level and then gradually the situation could be reduced to the nil interference of L1.

F.The teacher should be affectingly and thoughtfully discreet and delicate in handling the students’ individual styles of learning the TL. Sometimes the contrastive combination of the introverts and extroverts or spirited and apathetic personalities within pairs and groups would produce maximum success. Sometimes the association of homologous personalities in pairs and groups would produce best results. The teachers’ keen observation and profound practical reflection based on the existing ELT context would assist the teacher to endorse the precise decision of appropriate strategic investment.

The present sketchy essay is in fact a contemplation over some presumed barriers and their corresponding solutions that the Bangladeshi ELT teachers might face and ultimately need in commencing intensified interaction with the integration of the four skills to make their classes successful issues of CLT. Scenarios might vary with the diversions of contexts. Therefore, the CLT teachers should be dynamically equipped with professional sensibility and in depth teaching knowledge to take swift realistic and novel steps to win over the freshly sprung hurdles.

Antioxidants in Dog Food

It is not uncommon now that many pet owners have become more aware of all the preservatives that are in their pet's food. On reading the label of your pet food it is preservatives that are referring to the use of antioxidants which are essential for the production of dry pet foods.

If these were not added oxygen would react with the oils, fats, pigments and fat soluble micronutrients therefore causing rapid deterioration of the food. This process is known as pre-oxidation or auto-oxidation and would result in off flavors, mal-odors, nutrient loss and color and lastly harmful by-products.

A lot can depend on the success of antioxidants because they can vary depending on which type and at what stage of the manufacturing process they are added. In general it would seem if they are added in the early stages of the production process the antioxidant becomes utilized this has a better effect for a longer shelf life.

All antioxidants go in the category of natural or synthetic, ethoxyguin; butylated hydroxyanisole and butylated hydroxytoluene are synthetic antioxidants. Most pet food manufacturers prefer these because of the low cost and their high effectiveness. As an example, 150 PPM of the synthetic ethoxyguin can be the equivalent of 1000 PPM of mixed tocopherols.

Manufacturers are under increased pressure from pet owners to use natural sources instead of using synthetic antioxidants. Pet owners are more aware today because of all the information or misinformation they can acquire by using the internet. There has been a five year study investigating the negative effect of ethoxyguin by the (American Association of Feed Control Officials) AAFCO, who want it lowered from 150 PPM to 75 PPM. No harmful effects were found from the study although it is pressure from the consumer for manufacturers to use natural antioxidants.

A large range of compounds like herbs, spices, plants, citric acid, vitamin c and a number of plant carotenoids and phenolic that control the oxidative process. Vitamin E is probably the most common of the naturally occurring antioxidants. Because there are eight different forms of vitamin E, they are normally mixed and act together. It is citric acid that assists in regenerating and stabilizing the effects of the antioxidant tocopherols.

There are some compounds that have been isolated from some herbs and spices that show commercial viable antioxidant activity. Rosemary, sage and thyme are some of the examples, rosemary extract contains eight different phenolic compounds like tocopherols that act together.

The use of natural antioxidants causes difficulty particularly with tocopherols because not only the high cost but their susceptibility to be broken down this leaves the antioxidant activity weaker in comparison to synthetic antioxidants. The latter would then shorten the shelf life of dry foods. Manufacturers have tried to manage the problem by the use of a complex variety of different antioxidants that have different properties that act with one another and still effective to limiting auto-oxidation process.

The use of natural antioxidants diminishes the shelf life for pet food, however for small animals that are on veterinary diets the impact has been less. This may be due to the fact that they are lower in fats and lower levels of unsaturated fatty acids than commercial dry pet foods. All dry pet foods need to have proper stock rotation ensuring that the best before dates are checked properly.

Black Russian Terrier Dog Breed Essential Tips

The Black Russian Terrier is a breed that was "engineered" by the Russians shortly after world War II for the specific purpose of producing a strong, fearless and hardy working dog that could withstand the rigors of the cold Russian winter and would be a strong and formidable protector.

The "Red Star" kennels, a state owned and operated kennel, was the name of the government kennel of the Soviet Union whose function was to produce the necessary dogs needed for the military and other important functions. The basic "ingredients" for the working dog they were attempting to produce were the Giant Schnauzer of Germany, (already a favorite in Russia), the Rottweiler, the Airedale Terrier, the Newfoundland and the Caucasian Ovcharka and a few others.

Combining these breeds in the old fashioned way, with many test breedings and much hard work on the part of the "Red Star" kennels eventually produced the right combination of the characteristics desired by the government and the new breed, the Black Russian Terrier, was born. Since that time the Black Russian has gained in popularity in other countries and is now a member of the American Kennel club, registered as a member of the Working Group.

The appearance of the Black Russian Terrier is similar to that of a large and shaggy somewhat unkempt Giant Schnauzer. The coat is tousled with a hard outer coat and a dense soft undercoat, it should not have the well trimmed appearance of the Giant Schnauzer about the face, although it does have a beard and "eyebrows" which are long and very nearly cover all of the eyes. The head should have a tousled appearance and the coat should not have a wiry or harsh texture. Some trimming of the coat is allowed for the show ring . The only acceptable color of the Black Russian Terrier is as the name implies: black.

The nature of this dog is one of reliable guardianship. Without question this is a dog that should not be considered only a "pet" for he is by nature a dog meant to work. Without a job to do and adequate training from early on, this dog could very easily be destructive just because of boredom. He is high intelligent and eager to learn, he naturally possesses a strong protective instinct but should be controllable and reliable. This is a dog that should be self confident and laid back as an adult. As a youngster he requires early socialization and responsible training.

The Black Russian is also a long lived and healthy breed with few genetic conditions. As with all large dogs hip dysplasia should be guarded against. Furthermore the Black Russian Terrier Club of America also recommends that testing be done for cardiac conditions.

They are nearly impossible to sex, females are supposed to be slightly larger and fuller but it's difficult to tell with juvenile fish. If you are really serious I recommend getting a much larger school going, this might be easier to do in a separate tank. Young are easy to take care of. If you do see any, and these guys are egg layers by the way, remove the adults. Or the babies, whichever is easier. You need them to be away from all other adults! Petstores will have baby fish food, one I've used with success before is by Hikari, it;s a finely powdered food that you can sprinkle in that's small enough for them to eat. As they get larger I also noticed that a vacation block was a good way to get them all eating. Be careful with these though as they can raise and funk up your ph if used to often.
