How do I get the smell of cat urine out of my carpet? I am desperate!!!?
Some one poisoned my cat, and before I could get him to the vet to be put to sleep, his body let go in my bedroom. I have shampood the carpet 5 times, and used every kind of deoderant for pet urine I can find, and still It smells. Help!!!
Part of the trouble here, is that as soon as you put liquid on it, it cause the urine to soak into the underlying floor.
I know this is gonna be difficult but the best way is to pull the carpet up and wash the section infected outside with loads of soapy water and vinegar.
Scrub the floor under the carpet with bleach and then vinegar
If there is an underlay to the carpet cut out the section and replace it.
Make sure everything is really dry before replacing
