Travelling with an acoustic guitar?
I'm a student in Malaysia and I'm going to continue my studies in the US. I would like to know which airlines would usually let a person carry their guitar on board. If i can't carry it on board, does my guitar bag count as one luggage? Or will i be allowed to check it in with my 2 other bags?
Its going to be over-sized for many of the smaller planes that they are flying now a days. You can check it but please make sure that it's packed well since I think a 500 lb. gorilla tosses the checked bags around before they are loaded. It will count as one piece of luggage. If it were me, I would package it carefully and ship it by Fed Ex to the location that you will be staying in the US.
