Is a full metal cage better than the "flashy" toy cage? I think my hamster is having trouble......?
I was just wondering which one is better... the toy cage looks more fun but the metal cage is WAY bigger and i have a fat hamster. I got her this cage http://www.petco.com/Assets/product_images/5%5C5226811225B.jpg
but it looks like she has trouble going up the stairs cos the wires are kind of big and she trip and fell a lot
yes hello i hope this helps i have had 26 hamsters in my whole life{{i breed them}} and all i can suggest is feed her a lot of veggies so she loses weight and give her some more exercise toys so she can lose weight . Also for the weight problem cunsult a hamster and rodent care book at the library for her weight problem.
Now about that cage thing.......
what i suggest is to not buy the plastic cages bc in my past experience is that the hamsters chew though the cage plastic. I also suggest to have a tank for the hamster as a main cage wheres she sleeps in and add another cage as a second floor heres the link to add on to her cage. http://www.martinscages.com/images/full/r-670.jpge
just think of that except with a tank at the bottom thats what I had for my hamsters
Also you can buy a plastic cage but to put her in there for play time only.{{{thats what I did}}}
